CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, about their different courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are presented at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a 3-year period.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These programs start out at NCV level two along with the least need would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

At the time the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they would then have attained a grade ten certification. NCV Level three would be grade eleven and NCV Level four is grade 12.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, currently being equivalent to a Countrywide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade nine is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV stage two and that is equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which type of scholars are fitted to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that traditional schooling is not essentially the one means of becoming an artisan or getting skilled so if a student more info knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is in fact completely suited for that student.
